“Retro chime meets searing nu metal dirt in an explosion of all tube circuitry and purist technology! If versatility is your vice, then the Rockerverb is the only amplifier for you.”
Orange’s world class engineering team have been credited with creating some of the purest guitar tones in the business. They understand that the two most important features of a guitar amplifier are functionality and quality of sound. When tasked to create the perfect amplifier for any musical situation without compromising the legendary Orange tone, they rose to the challenge.
The Rockerverb series was designed from the ground up to include features never seen before in any Orange amplifier. Chiming tube driven reverbs, sparkling tube driven effects loops and ultra high gain distortions push these amplifiers past any perceived traditional restraints into bold new sonic territories. Whatever your musical style, the Rockerverb amplifiers take your guitar sound to a new level that you could previously only imagine!
With the same preamp stages as it's 100 watt bigger brother, the Rockerverb 50 cuts down the power amp stage to 50 watts. How is this a good thing? Well, Orange amplifiers sound their best when you start to crank them. 50 watts is perfect for club gigs, allowing you to really drive the two 6V6 tubes in the power amp. The Rocker 50's versatility makes it a fantastic studio work horse. It's packed with different tones for all kinds of music!
The Clean Channel
The clean channel preamp is designed around two stages of all tube tone and features interactive bass and treble controls. This channel is more than capable of pushing out loud punchy clean tones and yet can still be driven to achieve a light retro crunch.
The Dirty Channel
An Orange amplifier with 4 stages of all tube overdrive? Yes, you got it! The dirty channel goes from crystal clean right through shades of vintage British to full on overdrive that provides controlled feedback at any volume level. This channel gives you the ability to blow away your friends hi gain amplifiers, whilst retaining the versatility of an Orange amplifiers retro tones!
Reverb
A newly designed tube driven, tube returned Reverb circuit gives the Rockerverb reverb a sparkling chime never heard before from an Orange amplifier! It features a high quality, Accutronics 3 spring reverb tank.
Effects Loop
Tube buffered, tube returned. Orange pioneered the effects loop back in the 1970's. So it should come as no surprise that the Rockerverb amplifiers come fitted with the highest quality effects loop in the business. If you have to take the signal out side of the amplifiers chassis then the Rockerverb design ensures that it will come back in sounding crystal clear!
Tube Failure Protection
Here's a feature to take a weight off your mind! If you are unlucky enough to experience a power tube failure whilst playing a show, the tube failure protection system will kick in and allow you to continue playing at half power. This should give you enough time to swap out the tube without ruining your performance! There is even a helpful LED to let you know which pair of tubes has been effected!
Hi / Low Damping
The Rockerverb 50 features a Hi / Low damping selector. This controls the amount of current to the power tubes. Switch it to Hi to tighten the sound of the amplifier. Lo gives you a looser sound.
